The George Mason cross country team is set to compete in the 2013 NCAA Southeast Regionals, hosted by the University of Virginia on Friday.

GoMason.com went off the course with Steven Flynn, an Edison, N.J. native who is running in his first season of cross country with the Patriots.

The men finish 3rd and the women finish 8th in George Mason's inaugural Cross Country Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.

After a fall season of training and racing, the George Mason cross country team begins the championship slate of their schedule on Saturday, November 2 when they return to Mechanicsville, Va. for their inaugural Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.

unior Bethany Sachtleben finished fifth overall in the women's gold 5k and junior Michael Conway finished eighth overall in the men's gold 8k as both teams earned top-10 at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C. this afternoon.

After two weeks of training the men's and women's cross country teams take the course on Friday, October 18 when they travel to Boone, N.C. for the Blue Ridge Open.
